Who Can Participate?
Violin, fiddle, cello, viola, banjo, guitar, mandolin players with modest to advanced proficiency on their instrument are invited to attend. Both classical and folk students will grow from playing in this setting. Reading music is not required. We encourage families to spend the day with musicians under the age of 6.
What is the Schedule?
Visit this Google Doc to see the schedule and other important information. Thursday, August 8th at 5pm, participants will move in and enjoy dinner and a campfire program. Friday and Saturday are full days of class rotation and performances at night. Sunday will be participant group performances with the camp ending around 1pm after lunch.
What Does it Cost?
Update: We learned in early July that this camp was awarded an Arts in Education Grant from the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture, and History! We are happy to offer this experience at a lower cost than originally advertised. The cost of camping, meals, and instruction is $200 per student. Additional siblings may register for $175 each. This is an amazing value! Thank you WVDACH. Non-participating guests may purchase meals (age 5 and under eat free.) Full and partial scholarships are available. Guest rooms in the lodge cost $60/night + tax extra. Families are welcome to stay with us during the camp and enjoy the surroundings.
