Enjoy a different adventure each week at the Yew Mountain Center. Learn outdoor skills, create art, study animals and plants, and play where the wild things are. Children under 5 should be accompanied by a responsible adult. Children 5 and over may attend on their own. $5 suggested donation/child. Please let us know you are coming by 10:00 a.m on the day of the event (earlier is even better.)
Forest Herbs Weekend July 12-14
This weekend will be filled with forest walks and workshops led by Lonnie Galt-Theis and Paul Strauss of Equinox Botanicals and Tanner Filyaw, Rural Action's Non-Timber Forest Products Manager. Topics covered include everything from forest farming to herbal medicine making to running a small herbal products business.
Our common areas in the lodge are now accessible to persons with disabilities and we have an accessible guest room and restrooms. Persons with disabilities are encouraged to attend programs and lodge with us. Special accommodations will be arranged upon request.
