Join Kayde fen Deardorff of Wild One Herbs for a wild edibles walk through field and forest. Stay for an optional taco bar using ingredients sustainably sourced from the wild (or stick with conventional toppings to suit your taste and dietary needs.)

About your guide:
Kayde fen Deardorff is an herbalist, dancer, musician, and teacher who lives in the beautiful mountains of Hillsboro, WV. She is a graduate of Sacred Plant Traditions three-year clinical program in Western Herbalism and is now enrolled in the advanced Clinical Herbal Practitioner program at the Eclectic School for Herbal Medicine. Additional herbal study includes interning with Lauren Cooper of Greenstar Farms in Blacksburg, VA and studying online with Sarah Holmes and Karyn Sanders of Blue Otter School in California. She is one of the founders of Botanica Mobile Clinic (a free herbal clinic in Charlottesville, VA) and she also teaches classes in dance, somatic movement, meditation, and music/singing. About the Yew Mountain Center:
The YMC is a community-run nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide programs that explore Appalachian ecology and culture while promoting personal and community wellness. We offer nature-based learning, recreational, and cultural experiences for all ages and have lodging and camping on-site. Miles of trails traverse mature hardwood forests, old fields, waterfalls, and our medicinal/edible forest farm.
