WV Forest ​Farming Initiative

​The West Virginia Forest Farming Initiative is a regional effort to support the non-timber forest product (NTFP) economy in the Mountain State. Learn how we help forest farmers establish, diversify, and expand their businesses to tap into a growing global market for native Appalachian forest products. ​

Mountain Medicine Trail 

The Mountain Medicine Trail (MMT) is a collection of destinations throughout eastern West Virginia that celebrate the native woodland plants of our forests. MMT offers visitors an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the cultural, economic, and historical significance of Appalachian forest botanicals and the rich ecology of our forest ecosystems.
